Emerging TV screenwriters! The CAPE New Writers Fellowship is back and now accepting submissions for the 2024 Cycle! Founded and co-chaired for over a decade by Emmy Award-winning Writer, Creator and Showrunner Leo Chu and veteran film and TV executive Steve Tao, the fellowship discovers and nurtures emerging Asian and Pacific Islanders writers launching their careers in television.
The month-long program consists of speaker sessions with experienced industry professionals, mock writers room with a TV showrunner as well as mentorship and networking opportunities. This immersive fellowship arms writers with the practical and business knowledge they need to succeed as a professional writer in the entertainment industry.
